There are different Medicare options available and it’s important you know what they are so you can make the best decision for you. Make sure you have the right plan together to insure your health now that it’s no longer taken care of by an employer.
Medicare is a health insurance program offered to legal citizens and residents of the United States who are 65 years or older in age. Medicare is also available, regardless of age, to those who have a qualifying disability, an “end-stage renal disease” diagnosis, or ALS.
Medicare is offered in two parts:
Part A: coverage for “inpatient hospital and skilled nursing care”
Part B: coverage for “doctor visits and outpatient care”
You can also add on additional coverage such as:
Part D: Prescription drug plans to help pay for prescribed medications from a healthcare professional
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans: will help you pay for out-of-pocket costs that aren’t covered by Part A or Part B
Part C: Medicare Advantage Plans work to combine Part A and Part B plans as well as Part D if needed

When can I make changes to my coverage?
If you find that you need to make changes to your coverage, you can do so beginning October 15th. This enrollment period ends December 7th of the same year.
